Suluban Beach

Talking about Bali then you will talk about the beaches it has. The beaches in Bali are well known with the clear water and great view especially when the sunset comes. Suluban Beach is located in Pecatu Village. It takes around 1 hour 15 minutes from Denpasar to reach Suluban Beach or around 50 minutes from the airport.

Suluban Beach is also well known as Blue Point Beach. The name of Blue Point Beach is referring to a hotel near Suluban Beach named Blue Point Hotel. To make it easier for the tourist, especially the westerners to remember the name, people start to call Suluban Beach as Blue Point Beach.

Suluban Beach comes from the name “mesulub” means “pass by under something”. The name refers to the fact that you have to walk through two big coral cliffs that form like a corridor before you can enjoy Suluban Beach. The activity of walking through the coral cliffs is called “mesulub” by the local people; then the word “mesulub” transformed into Suluban Beach.

To get to Suluban Beach, you need an extra effort. From the parking lot, you have to walk down the stairs for 200 meters to reach Suluban Beach. After walking about 50 meters, you will find a smaller path to get into Suluban Beach. Sometimes, you need to wait in line to pass this small stair path before you can enjoy the pretty view of Suluban Beach.

The tourists that visit Suluban Beach usually come for enjoying the waves of Suluban Beach. They usually come to Suluban Beach to surfing. It is because this beach has big waves that are good for surfing. Suluban Beach is a hidden beach with a combination of white sand and clear water that is surrounded by coral cliffs. The water in Suluban Beach is the combination of blue and green colors. Sadly, Suluban Beach is not suitable for swimming due to the big waves it has. But you can still enjoy the view of Suluban Beach, especially on sunset time.

Since that more and more tourist come to Suluban Beach, the people around this beach try to develop the facilities. Now, if you are getting hungry while enjoying Suluban Beach, you do not have to go upstairs back. You can just go to some restaurants near Suluban Beach that are built on the cliff. From the restaurants, you can still enjoy the mesmerizing view of Suluban Beach while enjoying your meal. The special thing about Suluban Beach is you do not have to pay any entrance tickets to visit Suluban Beach, you only need to pay the parking tickets if you bring your own vehicle. So, generally, you can enjoy the pretty hidden Suluban Beach for free.
