The height of the Tegenungan Waterfall is only about 15 meters, while the highest waterfall in Bali is about 35 meters. The water of Tegenungan Waterfall comes from Petanu River. Tegenungan Waterfall has been developed since 1999 by some students of a university in Bali. After you arrive in the parking lot, you need to walk down the stairs before you can see the Tegenungan Waterfall. There are some gazebos built in the way to reach Tegenungan Waterfall. In the gazebo on the top, you can see Tegenungan Waterfall already.

You can enjoy the view of Tegenungan Waterfall surrounded by cliffs and trees from this gazebo. Then you can go down hundreds of stairs before you can reach the Tegenungan Waterfall. On your way to reach Tegenungan Waterfall, you will find a temple with fountains. From this temple, you need to walk around 75 meters to finally see Tegenungan Waterfall. When you finally reach Tegenungan Waterfall, you will see the great volume of the clear waterfall down the cliff.

Tegenungan Waterfall has also surrounded by trees, so you will feel the fresh air when you are in Tegenungan Waterfall. Since that Tegenungan Waterfall has a big volume of water, you need to concern about the warning if it is allowed to get close to the waterfall or not. If it is not allowed to get close to the waterfall, you still can swim in the river of Tegenungan Waterfall and refresh your mind with the cool water and fresh air.

Since that Tegenungan Waterfall has been developed years ago, the facilities around here are getting better. The parking lot of Tegenungan Waterfall is big enough so you do not need to be worried to find a parking lot. You can also find small warungs on your way down the stairs to reach Tegenungan Waterfall.
